The surroundings
Beach, polder and Flanders around the corner
Nieuwvliet is located in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, between Cadzand and Breskens. It is a quiet place where the dunes, the beach and the open polder landscape flow directly into each other. From the house you can cycle or walk straight into the surroundings.
Beach & sea
The beach just a few minutes' walk away
From the park you can reach the wide sandy beach of Nieuwvliet within a few minutes. Plenty of space to find a spot, even in summer. Along the beach there are several pavilions where you can enjoy food and drinks while watching the sunset in the evening.
Would you prefer not to swim in the sea? About 500 meters from the park there is an indoor swimming pool.

Nature, walking & cycling
Into the polder and the dunes
Right outside the park, cycling and walking trails begin. They run for kilometers along the beach and through the polder, with little traffic and plenty of views.
The Verdronken Zwarte Polder in Nieuwvliet-Bad is a special nature reserve with dunes, salt marshes, mudflats and beach. You can walk across the creeks on wooden boardwalks and spot birds easily.
A bit further, near Cadzand on the border with Belgium, is Het Zwin: an extensive nature reserve that is also perfectly accessible by bike.

Facilities nearby
Everything you need, close by
A short distance from the house you will find a supermarket, a restaurant with a large outdoor terrace and a snack bar. For children there is a swimming paradise with water slides, an indoor play area and mini golf. You can rent bicycles in the area, which is handy if you don't come with a bike carrier.
You can reach the resort of Cadzand in five minutes by car, and in less than a quarter of an hour by bike. There you will find restaurants, shops and another supermarket.
